Plan Ahead
When you schedule your surgery, prepare for the time that will be needed for recovery, ahead of time. There are so many things that you need in order to make sure that your time recovering happens smoothly, so grocery shopping, accommodating with work and care, all need to be taken care of.
Eat The Right Foods
Before removed, wisdom teeth play a pretty big part in the way that you chew your food. Not only will not having them affect the way you chew, but the wounds need time to heal and will be extremely sensitive to particular foods. Start off your recovery with a diet that is entirely liquid. Start to slowly add solid foods to your diet, starting with softer foods.
Rinse With A Salt Water Mixture
After you have your surgery, create a salt water solution. This is easily done by simply adding a teaspoon of water to two cups of water. Rinse your mouth out, with this solution, throughout the day. Doing this right after eating or drinking is especially preventative of infection. Not only will this solution reduce the chances of infection, but it will also reduce swelling and pain around the area.
