Frequently Asked Questions
It’s about quality of life. Implants are an investment in yourself.
• Be able to enjoy your food,
• Smile with confidence,
• Not being embarrassed by loose, ill-fitting dentures,
• Maintaining health with a long term solution,
• Help preserve a more youthful appearance compared to dentures.
How much do implants cost?
Implants can be costly. But then so are lost teeth, multiple replacements of crowns and dentures, gum disease, and pain. In the long term, the many benefits outweigh the cost.
The costs of implants include:
• the Implant (I) itself.
• The Abutment (A) that attaches the crown to the implant.
• The Crown (C) covering the abutment.
• Complete examination and treatment planning.
• Office visits.
• CB-CT scan.
• Pre– and post-treatment care.
The cost of an implant varies from office to office, ranging from $2400—$4500 and more.
Our implant coordinator can review various options to fit your budget.
Do you accept my insurance?
Dental insurance may cover part of the cost of implants. We can file a claim on your behalf and the carrier
will reimburse you for their share.
To make implants more affordable, patients can take advantage of several financing options including an in-house membership benefit plan, Care Credit, and Lending Club. Our implant coordinator can review options
best for your personal needs.
How long does it take?
It varies. Typically after the implant is placed we allow 4-6 weeks for integration of the implant to the bone
before placing the restoration.
However, there are situations where the restoration can be placed at the time the implant is placed. Various options best fitting your situation should be discussed during the planning stage.
Do implants ever need to be redone?
Implants overall are very successful long-term. However, there are factors that impact implant success such
as bone health and strength, medications, diabetes, smoking, where they are placed and how many, oral care both
at home and follow-up office visits. These potential complications are to be evaluated prior to placement.
